The CIISF would like to invite you to a round table discussion "Cyber security lessons learned from the Ukraine conflict for the Channel Islands" at 17:15 on Thursday, 24 March 2022 at Digital Jersey. There will be light refreshments and the opportunity to network. Physical attendance places are limited but you can attend online.
This event will involve a facilitated discussion around lessons learned for the Channel Islands information security community from the conflict in Ukraine and the wider threat profile. The discussion will endeavour to explore a number of questions, including the following:
- Are there any specific valuable actions that we should be considering?
- What cyber security challenges are we facing as cyber security community around (1) resilience and incident preparedness, (2) cyber security protection; and (3) people matters?
- What has your experience been with using facilities such as the Cyber Security Information Sharing Partnership (CiSP) and NCSC Early Warning? Are these used or are people using alternatives?
- What role could the CIISF, governments, other bodies such as the Jersey CERT or regulators play in improving cyber security controls in individual organisations?
- How does our current local legislative frameworks, information sharing culture and on-island professional skills impact our ability to respond effectively to the cyber threat?
- What actions could we take or recommend to improve?
We hope the discussion will give our information security community an opportunity to share experiences and ideas from which we aim to collate salient points that will help facilitate further conversations with relevant stakeholders.
